Our history
Founded in 1980 by a group of Thai physicians and businesspeople led by Pradit Trakulhoon, Bumrungrad opened the doors of Asia's most ambitious private hospital. In 2002 it became the first hospital in Asia to be awarded Joint Commission International accreditation. Today Bumrungrad treats more than 1.1 million patient episodes per year, including 604,000+ international patients from 180+ countries.
